Bitteroot Float
Summer is here, and with the hot weather we have been getting on the water as much as possible. We recently took a trip on the upper stretch of the Bitteroot with our new friend Trevor. Its always nice to meet new guys that have a passion for fly fishing and hunting. We have been so stoked about the people we have met through our blog!
With the boat loaded, the Yeti full, and sunny weather, we were amped up to just get out and enjoy the summer weather.
The fishing started out slow, and very few bugs were out, but that didn’t stop us from landing and losing some beautiful fish.
Trevor pulled us to shore in some pretty sweet holes, where multiple fish were landed, but the big ones were holding out on us. Zack of course was a whitefish magnet for a majority of the day, and pulled in some good size white dogs. Respect points were lost for every whitefish he landed. haha
We caught a few lil guys on dries, but the top water action was limited. Most of the fish were eating green drakes, and the occasional pmd. Trevor is a guide in the Bitteroot Valley and has started his own blog as of recent. If your interested in getting guided through the waters of the Bitteroot, Missouri, or Blackfoot rivers, check out his blog Fly Fishing West. He should have contact info up soon.
We enjoyed the amazing weather we were blessed with, and you can never take anything for granted. Be checking back for more river action, and videos in the future!
